Le Carousel De Lancelot, built in Europe especially for Disneyland Paris, is 16.6 metres (55 feet) in diameter and holds 94 seated riders. It carries 86 horses (plus five spares), plus two bench seats shaped like chariots. Located on the inner rows are seventy fibreglass replicas of 16 horses found on Cinderella's Golden Carousel at Walt Disney World, all painted and decorated in gold leaf.

The arrangement of colour on the Carousel resembles that of a colour wheel. Rich, dark colours coat the outer row of horses while softer hues are used on the inner rows.

The 'Neptune' and 'Queen's' chariots were built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in the 1920s. Acquired by Disney in the 1960s they were specially restored for Lancelot's Carousel between 1990 and 1991. Both chariots are decorated in 23-carrat gold leaf, copper leaf and aluminium leaf.

I must admit... I cannot hear the tune anymore. Nevertheless John Debney (also responsible for Phantom Manor) did some great arrangements of the famous tune by the Sherman Bros. The European ride is shorter than the American version...
