I
love the fountain concept.
I will always remember watching the fountain without any other visitors after the park closed. That was truly magical. |

This
was such a cute ride.
I still don't know what the ridiculous new adaptation was supposed to stand for. We all have no imagination and need Eric Idle to ram it into us??? |

The current show
is the third renovation to the attraction. The original (1982)narrated
by Walter Pigeon featured no music. In 1986 Walter Cronkite took over
hosting duties with finale music and the song Tomorrow's Child. Finally,
in 1994 the story of communication was updated to include such things
as the internet and was fully, and beautifully scored from Entry to Exit
with narration provide perfectly by Jeremy Irons. |
There were several
composers at work including: Show Music by Ido Guidoti based on Bach Incidental Music arranged by Joe Herrington Global Neighborhood by Russell Brower and Tish Eastman. |

Developed
under the name "Century III", then changed to "Futureprobe" the attraction
was finally named "Horizons" at the suggestion of the
GE chairman, whose name escapes me at the moment.
The score of the attraction itself was written by WDI composer George Wilkins but there are actually several composers at work here. |
The
Sherman brothers tried their hand at the project, but were passed upon
for reasons unknown at this time.
It is confirmed that the Richard Bellis had a hand in its musical creation
as the composer of the Space sequence.
It was the only attraction in Future World to be totally dedicated to
the future, and now that it's gone there is no Future in Future World.

The
best "celebration" ever. Disneyland Paris can take this

combinded with Fireworks set new standards.
